Gleichzeitig an einem andern Ort in England...
Es ist Nacht. Der Vollmond scheint auf eine kleine englische Vorstadtsiedlung. Ein laues Sommerlüftchen weht durch die Straße vor einem hell erleuchteten Haus. Nicht nur du hast einen Brief aus Hogwarts erhalten, auch im Lingusterweg Nummer 4 ist der eine oder andere Brief reingeflattert. Hinter diesen Mauern lebt der Junge, dem es gelang, Lord Voldemort all seiner Macht zu berauben. Die Geschichte des Harry Potter ist legendär.
Viele begabte Zauberer und Hexen mussten ihr Leben lassen, doch dieser Junge brachte die Herrschaft vor knapp 11 Jahren zum Bersten. Selbst seine Eltern, überaus talentierte Magier, waren ihr nicht gewachsen; sie starben beide um ihr Kind zu verteidigen.
Noch in jener stürmischen Herbstnacht wurde Harry zu seinen letzten lebenden Verwandten gebracht. Die Dursleys, durch und durch nichtmagisch, oder wie man sie in unserer Welt nennt: "Muggel".
Widerwillig nahm ihn die Schwester seiner Mutter in ihre Familie auf. Sie boten ihm ein Zuhause, gaben ihm zu Essen, doch alles ohne jegliche Zuneigung. Du fragst dich warum er nicht in eine Zaubererfamilie gebracht wurde? Ganz einfach, er steht unter dem Schutz eines fast vergessenen Zaubers. Seine Mutter hat ihr Leben geben, und nur dort, eingewebt in feste Familienbande, kann der Zauber seine Wirkung entfalten.
Am 31. Juli feierte unser kleiner Held seinen 11. Geburtstag, jetzt wird es auch für ihn Zeit seine magische Ausbildung in Hogwarts, der Schule für Hexerei und Zauberei, zu beginnen.
Vielleicht wirst du ihm schon im Hogwarts-Express begegnen und sonst spätestens in Hogwarts, ihr seid im gleichen Jahrgang.
Nun auf nach London, es gibt noch einiges zu erledigen, auf dass du den Zug nach Hogwarts nicht verpasst!
